workplace stress...

Yesterday, when i was shopping at a supermarket near my house, there was a promoter who got 'mad'. She threw all the clothes that do not belong to her section on the floor angrily. What make thing worse is that she did not feel shame despite lots of customers staring at her ridiculous behaviour. She was just keep smiling while mumbling to her co-workers nearby.

According to her (what i overheard), there was no customer visited her section which situated at the corner.. and she is going to get '0' for her 8-hours standing for the whole day... but what ran in my mind is that it is not her fault because the clothes in her section is much more expensive relative to others...

In my opinion, this is a situation which shows workplace stress. Not only long working hours but also unreasonably high expectation will bring to health problems, stress and sleepiness in workplace. In this case, the promoter has to stand at her section for 8 hours for six day per week. In addition, she is expected to sell some clothes per day ( i am not sure with the target). Indirectly, this will raise stress level of the promoter and bring to severe health problems in near future. Workplace stress might bring to insomnia consequently will bring to low productivity. So, boss or employer should take care of the employees welfare in order to create a positive working environment for not only for the benefits of the workers but also for the sake of company's productivity.
