off-day 2

my second off-day since i started my part-time work

brought my grandma for follow-up..
she changed her medication from ACEi to losartan
she was prescribed NeoDeca 2 drops TDS for her itchy red left eye
i hope that she can recover soon..

there was a tree fell on roadside at Jalan Tengah
i was trying to avoid the tree and i drove into the drain
there was a huge damage under the driver seat.. >.<
what a careless mistake...

i should be more careful and observant while driving next time

14th day of working part-time

my colleague told me that the figures i sent to my boss for news advertisement was rejected
she told me that my boss said I was just crapping things up to answer him

what should i say??
i spent hours to think
and asked another colleague to rearrange the goods
and she spent hours of doing so for me..

what i could think of is i was not studying art
i was studying pharmacy.. just like him
i have no sense of art and this is just a tall order to me
he should find someone more artistic to complete the task

i spent a lot of hours doing that and all i got is this crap

i told K about this and she gave a few suggestions about how to capture the photos
i think her ideas was good

later, i was asked to do Oratis
i called a few times but nobody answered..
why why why ???

at the end of the day, i didn't complete anything..
neither the oratis nor the advertisement at jobstreet

arrghhh.. how can i be so inefficient >.<

13th day of working part-time

went to do promotion at TESCO E-gate for the second time
met another new colleague

we chatted
it was nice working with him

he was willing to share his experience with me
taught me a few marketing techniques
and gave me a few leaflets to read on

however, the working hours was just too long
it will be great if it was shorter..

12th day of working part-time

should i consider this day as a working day or an off-day??

i was registered to this workshop without prior notice
and was told that this was considered as my off-day much later
i am speechless on this

i was told to go by myself last-minute
luckily my mom and elder sister planned to go penang island too
if not, i will have a lot to do to persuade them to fetch me there

i did enjoyed the workshop a lot
it was at the G Hotel... i mistaken it as the Gurney Hotel >.<

got refreshed on osteoarthritis, dysmenorrhoea and migraine..
i thought it will be a talk which promotes certain medications, yet, i was wrong
it was more like a tutorial.. which we got a few lectures and discussed a few cases

also, the hotel buffet was nice
got a range of local cuisines
especially the curry mee and salmon sandwich

got to know a new friend, the colleague from USM that i mentioned earlier
he was friendly, energetic and enthusiastic

i need to improve a lot ler.. :P

11th day of working part-time

hmm.. nothing much actually
was packed with all the tasks given..

contacting customers
contacting sales representatives

come on.. please let me settle all these as soon as possible..

handed on the marketing profile
and waiting for the boss reply..
but i don't think i will receive a favourable reply from him

expect less is much better
to prevent greater disappointment

10th day of working part-time

my boss gave me a full box of his photocopied text books
which he used during his postgraduate course
frankly, i was shocked by this.. yet, i was really happy

later, i met and had a short chat with K
and expressed to her all my dissatisfactions

learned a few things through the short chit-chat

• i shall never hear but listen (as my mom told me earlier.. don't get confused with the tone)
• i shall be able to take criticism
• talk to your "worker" when necessary (to understand them)

after the talk
she offered me to stay longer (for at least one week longer)
i informed her that i will reconsider..

I really appreciate for the fact that she tried to talk to me and stand on my side

i still felt very hard done by when things done by my boss flashed into my mind
but more of thinking that i was so childish as i got angry and wanted to leave just because of my boss's tone

met the other co-worker who was waiting for his posting too
I just got to know what he graduated from USM
i was asked to follow his car to the workshop on Saturday (28 September)

he looks like a person who keep up to the trend
very smart in fact

off day

haha.. my off day..
i spent most of the time fetching my elder sis..

ate KFC with my mom at Sunday Carnival
:D

i love this day :D

9th day of working part-time: got scolded

got scolded this morning

i was asked to contact a sales rep for something
and i have contacted her a few times a day until i get her

i have conveyed my message to her last Friday
and reminded her yesterday
but then... all these are just not enough..
as my mission was not accomplished
all these are just like go into drain..

i don't know what can i do to satisfy both parties

another incidence that happened today,
K asked me to contact P for something
then P told me that he had informed K and ask me to refer to K
P even said "how many time you want me to repeat the same thing?"

what you want me to do?!

everything that i was asked to do
i can't do them up to standard
i am just not good enough
haizzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

money doesn't comes easily..
there is no free lunch in this world

i will take this as a challenge
and remember this as a lesson

i hope i won't repeat the same things when my role changed.

8th day of working part-time: sometimes, it's just not good to ask too much questions

i didn't feel very well today
had stomach ache..
took a sachet of chinese herbal medicine
and it improved a bit
still went for work..

hmm.. i was late by a few minutes
but luckily the boss wasn't there yet..

i felt that there was something wrong between me and the bosses..
maybe i wasn't sound neutral enough when i was on the phone yesterday
actually, i was just thinking from a different point of view
the boss and employee do have different perspective
at times, we need to put ourselves in each other's shoes..
then misunderstandings may be avoided

i am a slow learner..
need to learn a few times before i can remember it
haiz

anyway, learned some new stuffs today
-ordering
-asking for quotation

i want to be better and better :D

7th day of working part-time: promotion

went for promotion at a supermarket
left home with a enthusiastic heart
coz it had been almost 2 years since my last time there

things didn't went as smoothly as i wanted

i received a call
and it didn't went well
got that for nothing under my control
really zzz

haiz...
spoilt my mood..
but luckily it was only for awhile..

the sales was good from my point of view..
yet maybe it wasn't good enough

haiz..

anyway, i am quite happy with my performance
still a lot to catch up and learn
new things coming up every seconds

sixth day of working part-time

wore formal for the first time
my dad told me that "how many time you expect one to tell you to do something?"
zzz (my boss asked me to wear formal to work days ago but i didn't)

blur almost the whole day
was sick yesterday night.. vomited once.. had high fever

i don't think i performed up to the standard
still need to work harder

>.<

fifth day of working part-time

erm.. as usual lor..
nothing special..

i am going to do promotion this sunday
and i get two days off next week
as i wish

forth day of part-time work

woah.. the goods are like half a hill..
accumulated at the store.. filled up almost half of the store
my speed is just too slow.. arghhhh...

need to sleep early tonight so that can work faster tomorrow

a lot of things to learn
a lot of book to revise

third day of part-time work

hmm.. as usual.. was putting price tag and arranging goods...
served a few customers..

actually i am still have very limited clinical knowledge..
a lot more to learn..
very keen to learn but no time and energy

attended a meeting.. erm.. i think generally it was good but still not effective enough..
i think the main reason is i didn't join them early enough.
i was very blur and i think there is still space for improvement for the event planning.. yet, everything is just too late to start now

had a dinner with the boss
discussed and learned a lot from him :)

second day of part-time work

erm.. everything is more or less the same.
i had more chance to serve the customers at the end of the day :D
i was still trying to arranging the CM/POM
it took me a few hours just to arrange around 20 drugs..
i still have a big container of drugs to be arranged

this that i have learned on the second day

• arranging the drugs according to their indications
• pack ointment 
• cafergot is out of stock currently
• every error need to be recorded

mistakes that i have made

• quantity of the drug - 4 strips of drug equals to 0.04 of 100*10's not 0.4

hopefully i can be flawless at the end of the day
argghh.. i need to speed up and pay extra attention
i got to do better

first day of part-time work at pharmacy

hmm.. it was quite an ordinary day..
basically i was asked to do what i used to do years ago
putting on price tag.. checking goods..
serving customers..

learned quite a number of things

• concor has changed its base from bisoprolol fumarate to... arghh.. forget >.<
• when key-in an item, need to see if the customers bought it before to double-check that the transaction is accurate 
• norgesic is out of stock maybe due to some application processes with the health ministry

made a few mistakes

• a customer gave me 102 and i tot it was 72
• another customer want a brown rice and i keyed-in healthy-rice
• messed-up with putting on price tag.. arg.. i like this the least

generally not a bad day
still assimilating to the "new" working environment

on my way to preparing myself for the PRP life :D
